About me

My name is Megan, I'm from the West Midlands in England and I'm nineteen years old. I'm blogging to help spread awareness on mental health and disabilities, I want to try and inspire or educate others. I've been in the mental health services for four years now, I've been under CAMHs tier 3 and 4, inpatient informal and formal. I'm currently in adult services and have been under the crisis team and inpatient formal and informal but I'm now under complex care, an outpatient team. I have Asperger's Syndrome, depression, anxiety disorder and ADHD. In the past I have struggled with anorexia but I'm recovered from this now.

I'm interested in horses and I have my own horse, he's called Casper and is the grey horse featured in the picture on the left. He's been a saviour to me to be completely honest and he is my reason for living. I've always found I've needed a purpose in life otherwise there'd be no point and Casper is my purpose.

I also like videography and video editing but it's a hobby and nothing professional or advanced. I've been editing videos since I was ten but only simple edits and mainly on horses. It has helped me release negative emotions at times and with ADHD I struggle to sit still but I can usually sit for a solid 30 minutes editing which is impressive to me.

I'm pretty laid-back and chilled out, my medication has helped a lot with that. I'm also a little, what they'd call, different and I find it hard to articulate myself verbally but find it more easier to when writing. So hopefully this blogging will be helpful to not just others but to me as well.
